Ipsi CW 'levels in space' FA

THE WHAT & HOW:
A free association cartwheel context built from the three-level ipsilateral cartwheel system, expressed as continuous movement through space rather than structured repetitions. The practitioner links cartwheels in open space across changing directions and levels, with squat, low gait, and standing entries explored both independently and in combination.
Resource contents:
0:05 - Ipsi CW from squat (FA)
0:53 - Ipsi CW from low-gait (FA)
1:40 - Ipsi CW from standing (FA)
2:28 - Ipsi CW all levels + momentum walk FA
The main focus is developing dexterity and adaptability within cartwheel expression by removing segmentation between repetitions. Movement becomes a continuous flow where each cartwheel is shaped by its entry level and immediately recycled into the next. Across the individual levels, the emphasis is on continuous energy transfer through the structure, where exits feed directly into subsequent entries, allowing cartwheels to link seamlessly without interruption.
A key quality is continuity through spatial reorganisation. The practitioner moves without stutter or hesitation, allowing cartwheels to emerge as part of an ongoing flow rather than isolated actions. This develops the ability to maintain structure while continuously changing direction and level, refining coordination between body, space, and timing.
In the final integrated variation, squat, low gait, and standing cartwheels are combined into a single expression. Here, the momentum walk ('low ceiling') is introduced as the connective layer, supporting transitions between levels while maintaining continuous forward or lateral flow. It provides the underlying structure that allows level changes without breaking rhythm.
Execution should prioritise uninterrupted flow, clean transitions, and continuous momentum, without stutter or hesitation. Cartwheels should be treated as a single evolving system, where movement is constantly recycled and reconfigured through space while maintaining coherence across all levels.

THE WHAT:
As an ultimately dynamic movement travelling through inversion, with practice the 'AU cortado' (or, "short cartwheel") can be used to with efficiency for travel through space. It can also link seamlessly with other 'cartwheel' forms, such as the fundamental 'Travelling cartwheel' or 'St... -
'AU back-step' to 'Back-switch'
THE WHAT:
An integrated transition & 'ground-work' pattern incorporating the fundamental 'AU cortado' with a 'back-step' variation and the basic 'Back-switch' to a 'Role' exit. The concept most significantly at play here is an emphasised COUNTER-ROTATION/TORSION between the torso and pelvis (or, ...
