‘Up’ & ‘Down’ spinal-wave switching
Spine & scapulae: 'Global' patterns

THE WHAT
The foundational 'Down/up' and 'Up/down' sagittal spinal-waves are now brought together in an integrated context which expresses switching between the two directions. The transition initially offers a minor coordinative motor-task requiring pre-"planning" of the switch and allowing time for it to occur SEAMLESSLY (and in ANY region of the global-spine), without any visible pause or hesitation. After practice over time, however, it should become "embodied" and be able to be executed quickly & accurately on command.
The sagittal 'spinal-wave' serves as an initial introduction to the concept of 'GLOBAL' spinal-patterns, i.e. those which express the ENTIRE spine as a harmonic, sequential whole, as compared to more 'LOCAL(ised)' patterns which focus on "rolling" and circular patterns "isolated" to specific spinal-regions (i.e. lumbar, thoracic & cervical).
