Auxiliary 'Front-lever' conditioning

THE WHAT:
Two simple conditioning tools for supportive-development of straight-arm pulling and the 'Front-lever' (FL) form. The first - 'Ice-cream makers' - integrates both bent-arm and straight-arm strength (BAS/SAS) by entering/exiting the 'FL' form, providing a moderate forearm strength-development stimulus in the process and "greasing" the bent-arm thumbs-to-chest ('TTC') form.
The second - the 'Reverse deadlift' - builds on the foundational 'Pike-extensions' drill by adding greater mechanical DISadvantage. This is achieved by aiming to bring the hips LOWER than shoulder-level and aiming to keep the feet tracking as much as possible IN LINE with the straps. This elicits LESS "piking" in the hips, making the load of the legs mechanically "heavier".
These tools are valuable for both conditioning SAS pulling as well as contributing to progressive-development of the 'FL' form. At the same time, they provide an often welcomed step back from "hard-focus" on linear, isometric holds, helping break potential monotony for the mind and overuse of the body in a more dynamic context, still serving toward the same ends.
