Fundamental jump to 'cat-hang' 1 (double-foot takeoff)
Integrated wall-work

THE WHAT:
An introductory project of practice bringing into application capacities built through fundamental wall-hanging contexts. In the initial instance, however, practice is very much about building judgement of, and therefore CONFIDENCE in, in your hanging grip-strength.
For this reason all variations presented here are performed in the more controlled scenario of a TWO-FOOTED jump-takeoff, with progressions beginning very conservatively from a close-range 'catch & drop-down', to 'rebounding', to incorporating gaps and also moderate strength-work integrations. Resource contents:
0:05 - 2-footed jump to 'cat-hang' (catch & drop-down)
0:54 - 2-footed jump to 'cat-hang' (absorb & rebound)
1:20 - 2-footed jump to 'cat-hang' & drop-down (crossing a gap)
3:33 - 2-footed jump to 'cat-hang' (climb-up & down)

THE WHAT:
Having built foundational strength-capacities & structural-understanding in the fundamental 'Cat-hang' form, further to qualities of "absorbing" and "rebounding", we now transfer this energy ROTATIONALLY into a simple half-turn, landing to face the opposite direction of the wall. This r...
