Low rail-work free-association (FA) 1

THE WHAT:
A free-association (FA) context in the 'low-rail' position, where foundational patterns are linked through continuous transition rather than isolated execution. It brings together a fluid interchange between the ‘Frontal squat FS spin’, ‘Cat-walk’, and ‘Frontal cross-step’, allowing these patterns to operate as a connected vocabulary rather than separate techniques.
The emphasis is on developing a responsive transition field between patterns, where movement is guided by available balance points, directional opportunities, and rotational flow. Rather than pre-planned sequencing, the practitioner learns to navigate between patterns in real time, adjusting support, timing, and orientation within a constrained rail environment.
Functionally, ‘low rail work’ develops the ability to link foundational patterns through more constrained squat & quadrupedal position, improving both transition quality and balance control. Over time, it strengthens the practitioner’s capacity to maintain coherent movement flow in low positions while refining the adaptability of their locomotor vocabulary under changing spatial demands.

High rail-work free-association (FA) 1
THE WHAT:
A free association between ‘Forward/back walk’, ‘Sickle-step’ and Frontal ‘Shimmy’ in an 'high' rail position. The focus is on how these patterns link together without interruption, forming a continuous exchange rather than isolated repetitionThe emphasis is on clean transitions with ...
